LEE ADAMS - Captain for October through December, and April through June
Lee Adams, the captain of Segundo Viento during the months of October through December and April through June, hails from the beautiful peninsula of Cape Town, South Africa. Introduced to sailing and racing by his grandfather, Admiral Tom Hardiman of the South African Navy, Lee developed a passion for the sea at a young age. In 1999, he embarked on his first ocean crossing from Cape Town to Antigua aboard a racing sloop. After participating in several local regattas in the Caribbean, he received an invitation to join the crew of the classic Schooner, The Tree of Life, which boasted eight manual sails. Following a circumnavigation, Lee assumed the role of Captain.
With over a decade of exploration and residence in the Caribbean, particularly the Lesser Antilles, Lee possesses invaluable local knowledge crucial for creating unforgettable experiences. His expertise enables him to discover hidden locations, uncover crystal clear dive sites, and navigate through any inclement weather. Beyond his professional aptitude, Lee's charismatic personality and unique skillset foster a harmonious atmosphere onboard Segundo Viento, where adventure awaits at every turn. An active and enthusiastic individual, Lee indulges in various water sports, making him the perfect companion for guests seeking relaxation and enjoyment on their journey.
CAMI BEDOUIN - Captain for January through March, and July through September
Cami Bedouin, serving as the captain of Segundo Viento during the months of January through March and July through September, has nurtured a profound love for the ocean and a deep appreciation for nature since her early years. Growing up near the coast in Italy, she spent her weekends horseback riding, swimming in the Mediterranean Sea, sailing on lakes with her father, and skiing in the mountains.
After completing her university studies in England, Cami embarked on extensive travels, venturing to numerous countries worldwide. Her diverse experiences led her to work in marine conservation, hospitality, diving, and sailing. It was during these endeavors that she fell in love with the ocean, ultimately deciding to pursue a seafaring life in the yachting industry.
For the past five years, Cami has been sailing around the British Virgin Islands, harnessing her extensive knowledge of the area to tailor itineraries according to her guests' desires, ensuring that their favorite activities are included. A spirited and energetic individual, she is always eager to share her passion for the ocean and the islands with her guests. Cami's active nature means she is ever ready to embark on thrilling adventures, be it a sail, a dive, or a sunset hike. She consistently strives to provide guests with the most exceptional and unforgettable experience aboard Segundo Viento.
BIANCA MARTINEZ - Chef
Born and raised in the Mediterranean on the enchanting island of Palma de Mallorca, Bianca Martinez has cultivated a lifelong passion for the sea. Among her proudest achievements is her participation in the Spanish National rowing team, where she earned a gold medal. After obtaining her chef's qualifications, Bianca embarked on a globetrotting culinary journey, exploring diverse cultures and gastronomy around the world. She has had the privilege of working in esteemed hotels and restaurants, honing her skills under the tutelage of top chefs and gaining invaluable experience in the gastronomy profession.
Working aboard yachts and boats seamlessly merges Bianca's two passions: the sea and gastronomy. Her menus are a delightful fusion of traditional and contemporary flavors, representing a medley of cultures waiting to be savored.
