Captain Hugh White:

Hugh White, originally from Pretoria, South Africa, developed his passion for water sports and sailing during his youth spent on the water. He is an enthusiastic fisherman and has a deep love for life on the water. After graduating, Hugh pursued a career in yachting and gained valuable experience during a Mediterranean season in France. His interest in the industry grew further after completing a 12,000 nm delivery, which included two Atlantic crossings and sailing up the east coast of Africa. Hugh's enthusiasm for sailing, fishing, and diving only grew stronger during these experiences. He spent two years as the first mate on a catamaran sailing through the Caribbean, gaining extensive knowledge of the best locations for unforgettable charters. Hugh is excited to welcome you aboard and create the trip of a lifetime.

Chef Maxime Hughes:

Maxime Hughes was born and raised along the coast in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, where she discovered her love for the sea. After completing a degree in Hospitality Management and working in various luxury environments for three years, Maxime combined her passion for the ocean with her acquired experience to pursue a career in yachting and explore the world. She began her journey as the sole stewardess on a sailing yacht in Monaco, embarking on an extraordinary adventure of circumnavigating the globe. Participating in the Oyster World Rally and the Oyster Antigua Regatta further ignited her passion for sailing. With over 50,000 nm sailed through the North and South Atlantic, South Pacific, Indian Ocean, Mediterranean, and Caribbean Sea, Maxime's cuisine is beautifully diverse, influenced by global flavors. She is known for her vibrant and positive attitude, always prioritizing guest satisfaction. Maxime looks forward to having you onboard and catering to all your culinary needs.

Deckhand & Dive Instructor Kyle Lello:

Kyle Lello, born in South Africa, developed a passion for the ocean while growing up along the South coast. He excelled in lifesaving, acquiring valuable skills and becoming proficient with various water toys. Kyle's interest in sailing and water sports grew while spending time at the docks. After studying marketing and venturing into the business world, he followed his passion and began his career in the scuba diving industry in Sodwana Bay, South Africa. As an instructor at a 5-star PADI center, he gained ample experience and trained aspiring divemasters. Kyle is also an avid fisherman and spear fisherman, with a love for free diving. He enjoys taking guests out to experience water sports and the beauty of the open ocean. Kyle's ultimate goal is to become a captain, but for now, he thrives on providing unforgettable experiences to guests and embracing new challenges.

Stewardess & Dive Instructor Gabi Cox:

Gabriella Cox, born and raised in Knysna, a coastal town in South Africa, developed an unmatched love for the ocean from a young age. Surfing, swimming, paddleboarding, and kayaking became her favorite pastimes. Gabriella's passion for sailing and the freedom it brings on the water intensified over the years. She excelled in water polo during school, further enhancing her swimming skills. After becoming an Au Pair and living in different countries, Gabriella honed her ability to build relationships and adapt to various responsibilities. In 2021, she pursued her dream of becoming a professional scuba diver, completing her diving courses in Sodwana Bay and becoming a PADI Scuba Instructor. With extensive knowledge and experience, Gabriella is dedicated to ensuring guest safety and happiness. Her tenacity, hard work, and adventurous spirit make her an invaluable asset onboard. Gabriella looks forward to creating unforgettable memories for guests, whether through breathtaking dives or crafting refreshing cocktails while watching the sunset. She can't wait to share the incredible Zingara experience with the crew and guests.
