Captain Niksa Gjurasic hails from the beautiful coastal city of Dubrovnik, Croatia, where his love for the sea was born. Growing up next to a marina, he spent most of his time immersed in the world of boats. His passion led him to join a sailing and rowing club, becoming an active member and honing his skills. After attending maritime school, Niksa embarked on a remarkable career as an apprentice officer on merchant ships and later on yachts. With over 30 years of sailing experience, he has earned the esteemed title of Master of the ship up to 3000GT by STCW convention, having sailed over an impressive 250,000 nautical miles.
YOUR CHEF
Meet Chef Petar, born on April 16th, 1970, in Karvina, The Czech Republic. Although his permanent residence is now in Split, Croatia, his culinary journey has taken him across the seas. Petar began his career on the sea in 1990 and gained extensive experience working as a waiter before finding his true calling as a Chef. He has worked on various vessels, including large cruisers from renowned companies like Royal Caribbean, Festival, and Sun Cruises. His time on these ships allowed him to master not only the art of cuisine but also the Italian language. Despite excelling as a Chef in well-known and established restaurants in Split, Petar's heart remains at sea. For the past seven years, he has chosen to work on yachts, particularly on deluxe and deluxe superior mini cruisers owned by the esteemed Adriatic company, Katarina-line. Petar's culinary skills have earned him the distinguished title of Best Chef in the Fleet for three consecutive years, where he has crafted menus for the highest categories of the aforementioned ships. Beyond his culinary prowess, Petar finds great joy in sports, engaging in activities such as running, yoga, and boxing. A non-smoker who embraces a healthy lifestyle, Petar is committed to providing a memorable culinary experience.
